EarthRoamer XV Super Campers

Your typical North American RV is advertised as something that provides a freewheeling travelling style but in reality, they lock you in to the RV infrastructure: RV campsites, the need for a/c, water and sewage hookups, paved roads, and the need to tow an additional vehicle because the RV itself is too big to comfortably drive in the city. For fourwheelers who crave solitude and love to explore the the nooks and crannies of the earth, there are the EarthRoamer XV vehicles.

EarthRoamer's XVs are super heavy duty pickup-camper vehicles designed for true backroads exploration. The features we like are:

  • Small size. Well, much smaller than your typical road whale motorhome but big enough to live in for long periods of time. There's no need to pull another vehicle with one of these EarthRoamers.
  • Huge towing capacity (approx 10,000 lbs) means you can haul your rock buggy, dirt bikes, atvs, boat, etc.
  • Diesel power. Huge amounts of torque (570 ft-lbs) with respectable fuel economy and legendary durability.
  • All systems run on either Diesel or batteries. NO PROPANE OR GENERATOR NEEDED. The stove, furnace and water heater run on Diesel. The high efficiency fridge/freezer runs on electricity. Batteries are charged via dual alternators or huge, roof-top solar panels. Amazingly, the fridge is so efficient that the solar panels can keep the batteries charged even while the fridge is on. All lights are high-efficiency units. Bio-Diesel can be used by all Diesel-fuelled equipment.
  • Cassette-type toilet frees the XV from the requirement of a dump station. The contents of the cassette can be dumped in a regular toilet, outhouse, or any other sewage receptacle.
  • Four-wheel drive. This camper will get you from the Arctic Circle down to the tip of Argentina. Try that with any other motorhome.
  • Four-seater cab provides real occupant crash safety.
  • Camper body is a one piece, molded monocoque design that is completely weatherproof and very lightweight. Camper bodies are attached to frame via the TriMount™ triangular mounting system to isolate the camper from torsional loads caused by frame flex. If this rings a bell with you, think Unimog. They use a 3-point system as well.
  • A 59 US gal fuel tank and 85 US gal water tank (with dual filtration) provide the ability to travel for long periods between facilities.
