Viair Heavy Metal 497C Air Compressor System

The Heavy Metal 497C is the latest addition to the Viair compressor line. This new unit has a 100% duty cycle compressor that puts out 2.37CFM at 0PSI. Current draw is a maximum of 35 amps. The 497C will fill a 5 gallon tank from 0 to 150PSI in a bit over four minutes. As with all of the Viair "C" model compressors this unit is meant to work with an air tank. The 497C features a heavy duty PTFE lined stainless steel braided leader hose and separate check valve. Speaking from personal experience with the Viair products, we have had a very good results with a dual compressor system filling 39" tires.
