Grizzly Bear Management Planning and Fourwheeling
Mar 13, 2001
The Ministry of Environment (MoE) has developed a presentation on Grizzly Bears that is of interest to the four-wheel drive community. The presentation is about one hour long with a question and answer period following. Total time may be about one and a half hours.
Ingrid Davis from MoE has offered to do this presentation to the four-wheel drive community. They have a general letter that provides access to information that you may wish to review prior to the meeting. The letter will be sent out in the next day or so. Because of the non-commercial nature, public interest and short notice, we have also provided Ingrid with contact names, numbers, and addresses.
It is my understanding, that the presentation is to provide information to the recreational public and also to get feedback regarding accesses, interactions as well as past, present and future policies that will be considered to enhance the grizzly population. The area of the study is from Washington State up into BC to around Lytton.
Due to of the possible impact that bear management may have on your recreational environment, I strongly urge you to participate in this event.
The presentation will be taking place prior to our monthly meeting at Capilano College (2055 Purcell Way, North Vancouver, BC.) in the Library Building, Room 321on March 13, 2001, 7:45pm. Room number subject to change depending on participation.
To ensure that we have enough room for everyone, we ask you to RSVP to August Ustare at: austare@arc.bc.ca Due to room size constraints, we also ask you to limit your participation to two or three people from your organization. If you have any questions, or requests, please contact us, and we will try to accommodate you.
