Project Vehicles

When you talk to other fourwheelers, the conversation inevitably drifts towards each others' vehicles so it's only natural that we add a section devoted to that topic. We've learned a lot about building 4x4s by stealing ideas from other people. With that in mind, we're presenting an on-going series of articles detailing how we build up our own BC4x4 project vehicles.

Project XJ Project XJ
We build a family-friendly, backroads exploration machine that can handle everything short of hardcore trails. It must be fine for driving long distances on the highway and be able to safely pull a large tent trailer. This will be more versatile than vehicles we've built in the past.

Project YJ has reached its end point and we're moving on with other projects.
Project TJ Project TJ
Out of the box, the Jeep TJ is a great 4x4. But when you start treading in Rock Monkey territory, you've got to start throwing away some factory pieces and swapping in heavy parts.

Project TJ is now complete.
