MiniStar2

The MiniStar2 is a replacement bulb kit for the Mini Mag line of flashlights that use two AA batteries. It comes with an LED bulb and a special reflector that allows the LED to fit into the Mini Mag.

My side-by-side comparisons between a regular Mini Mag and one equipped with the MiniStar2 showed that they appeared to be equivalent in light output as measured by a light meter. Only at long ranges did the conventional Mini Mag have the advantage due to the fact that its bulb/reflector combination was able to be focused to a tighter beam. For most uses, I found the two to be equivalent in brightness, although I preferred the white light of the MiniStar2. The greatly extended battery life and beam brightness (special circuitry allows the MiniStar2 to produce a bright beam even when the batteries are low on power) turn the Mini Mag into a much improved flashlight.

EverLED
The EverLED™ works in almost any flashlight that uses a standard bulb, such as this run-of-the-mill twin D cell unit.
