This year's Island Rockcrawl was the biggest yet. The most noticable difference between this year and prior years was the large number of attendees from the United States. Most of the Americans said that they had heard about this trail run from the IRC '97 article which appeared in Petersen's 4Wheel & Offroad magazine.

Like last year, I don't have a concise trail report because the event was just too long and involved a lot of socializing and down time. So, to provide you with a sense of what went on, I've asked some people to contribute small trip reports describing some of the things which happened at IRC '98. I hope you enjoy the stories.
