Is The 1.3 a good swap or is it better to go for the 1.6L. What's the least expensive? Any info would help. I'm going to have to do something pretty quick, I'm thinking one of the two swaps or rebuilding the stock 1.3L.

done both so far and the 1.6 is alot better more torque and cheaper and the distributor is easier to get at plus I have one for sale the only thing is you need an adapter plate or you have to weld tabs on the tranny to mount the engine

Im takin the twin cam 1.3 out of my zuki and puttin in a 3.8 or a 4.3. I havent desided yet.I dont like the twim cam off roading at all.

Okay, sounds good enough. How much do you want for the 1.6L? How much roughly is an adapter plate? Whats the process for welding tabs to the tranny?
