Anybody know what is involved in swapping from the 260 u-joints (front axle) from say a 92 XJ to the 297 u-joints used now? I realize new inner and outer shafts plus the u-joints themselves, but would this just swap in or did jeep change splines on the carrier or hubs or anything?

Realizing D30 260's with locker and 33 swampers don't mix too well.

Its a straight forward swap, other than if you have the vaccuum disconnect. Then you have to hunt for for a 95YJ that has a vaccuum disconnect, thats the tricky part. Other than that its straight forward i believe.
