I'm in the process of making transfer case linkage for my sm420 swap. I've got it all done except for the shift gate.
I'm thinking of leaving it so I can run in 2wd low range if I want to.
Is anyone else running this kind of setup?
Advantages or dis-advantages?

75 FJ40, 4 inch BDS springs, 1inch body, 35's, detroit EZ locker, power steering, disc brakes, 3spd low range gears, full cage, XD9000i, extended shackles, dual batteries....you get the idea.

I, as well as few friends have run like that for years. we just shaved the stock gate to allow shifting to 2low, its nice for parking in a tight spot etc...
