In case you havn't noticed, I've been dieing trying to get another 22RE for my truck so I can sell it. When I didn't need one there seemed to be an abundance, now there is nothing.

However, a 3.0L V6 has become available, complete with computer etc. What's involved in swapping that over? Will it bolt to my existing auto tranny? I'm pretty sure I need new engine mounts, but what else will I need. Will the stock gauges work?

Thanks for any help.

Ryan

Haha. Chev 350. I just don't want to carb' the truck. I don't have access to a 350 either. I do have an 80 3.3V6, TH350, but I'd need to fab the engine mounts, change the output shaft on the tranny, get a t-case, and get new driveshafts. I just thought it would be way more expensive.

The 3.0L swap isn't going to be the cheapest thing you've ever done to your truck either dude.
Not sure about the tranny but if I had to guess I'd say no it won't and I understand that your low on the funds (aren't we all after xmas) but now would be the opportune time to swap a 5spd in, even though you're just going to sell it.
