As you may have read (in general section), Jackpine (Dave) was over at my place for dinner last night. When we went to load his truck up IT WAS GONE!And so was mine, wait...no it wasn't. It was neatly parked on the street where Dave's truck was. Everything was stripped out of my truck, windows punched out, steering column f****d up, and beer dumped all in it. They had driven precicely 28 kms in my truck before bringing it back to steal Daves. The funny thing is the club was on my truck, and when we opened it it was on the floor in the back. The damndest thing is my Toyota was broken into on Christmas eve and hasn't even gone in to claims yet (Monday) And with the new deductable, I have to pay $100 for the Toy, and $300 for the Jeep. What a wonderful surprise that was. I'm gonna start sleeping in the trees with bows and arrows,guns, bats, rocks, big sticks, slingshots, keeping all night vigils on my trucks, and GOD HELP the thieving little Bastards when I catch em!

I wonder why it is that you boys up North have more probs with this kinda stuff than we do... ???

I mean, my Jeep has been broken into once but it was because of something I did.

At my apt building we had some kids get into the laundry room and spray some gang-related graffiti around, but they didn't even break into the wash machines or tenant storage spaces. We caught a couple of shitheads looking at the new lock, but we flexed muscles and raised hairs on our back...telling them to leave. No other probs after that. *shrugs*

Couple reasons. Our laws are made by a bunch of left wing socialist loving @#$&#!%@
Less guns, means thieves are not as worried about getting their headds blown off, and if you DO blow a thief's head off, YOU are deemed the REAL criminal. This is Canada, where we LOVE our criminals! Even our immigration system loves criminals and terrorists... When a car thief gets caught, absolutely NOTHING happens to them. They get to steal again the next day.
Also, this happened in Surrey, the whalley area - worst part of surrey. Surrey has probably the highest concentration of car thieves in BC.
Death to car thieves! (preferably slow and painfull...)

for your own sake,consult a lawer before you talk to icbc.my brother went through one of those nightmares you think are urban legends.their investigators sifted through the ashes of the burnt out hulk and found a piece of broken key that had sat in the ashtray for months.during his initial interview he said he only had one key,which he turned over.the next day they refused his claim,saying that because he only claimed to have one key,yet possesed two[they consider a portion of a key a whole key]that he made a false and missleading claim.after waiting 1.5 years,5g for a lawer and two days in court,the judge said icbc had every right to deny the claim based on my brothers answers.so protect yourself and get legal advise before you answer any of those bastards questions!

I kinda had a feeling...that's why my comment was partially sarcastic.

We have sort of the came problem here...only our murderers get 3-5yrs while the drug dealers, car thieves, and victimless criminals (check fraud artists, computer hackers, etc) get 10-20yrs. Go f'n figure.

And people wonder why I legally carry a pistol? HA!

Let me give you an example of how our legal system works as yours does. Did you see what I mentioned in my earlier post? Now, any idea what the cops said when they came by? NOTHING THEY COULD DO ABOUT IT other than take some pictures. Ok, I get that...but here's the real kicker. Had we caught them in the act we couldn't hold them if they were under 18. WTF?? So a 16 year old shithead can come and trash our building, on private property no less, and we can't do anything about it? HA! Ok, well if they're not responsible...neither am I.

A baskteball inside a pillowcase works quite well for stumping detectives...they know it was blunt trauma that killed em...they just can't figure out what did it. LoL

Tactic they use here in the States is a small bottlejack or scissorjack inserted inside the steering wheel...then crank that SOB until the wheel ovals and the Club falls right out.

Screw the Club...get yourself a Grant removable wheel. No wheel, no drive.

Kevin, you got to be kidding. Just got back from Mexico and read this. Tsawwassen sure is a lot safer than surrey. I never even locked the jeep out here. That really sucks. I hope you didn't put the new interior in when they did this. I guess they stole my deck out of it or did you swap a new one in. I hope they didn't rat bag it too much.
After I had my YJ stolen years ago in east van. where my ex. lived, I used to pull the coil/distributor wire out, cheap ignition kill.
Good luck dealing with ICBC. I have all the receipts for the truck if you need them. I'll call you today, or give me a shout.
