I went to check fluid levels today and found ATF in the transfer case of my 89 crew cab chev. The T case is behind an automatic but this strikes me as wrong.
help me out here

I am pretty sure T5's from mustangs and stuff also take ATF...so ATF in something other than an automatic is not that surprising.

Doent matter if its an auto if its aluminum it runs ATF. My tranny runs ATF and its a 5 speed as well as my t-case too.
