Ryan,

With your solid axle conversion, did you use a leaf-spring setup, or did you keep a coils setup and fabricate radius arms, panhard rod etc.? Can't tell from the pic below...

Would you mind if I hooked up with you one day soon to take a closer look at what you've done? I'm in Surrey, so I'm not too far away. Drop me an email with a phone number I can contact you at if you wouldn't mind.

Looks like coils in the front to me.

87 Samurai, 92 fuel injected 1.6 ltr.,s.o.a., 5.13 r/p, birfield rings, 2" exhaust, 32/11.5 mud kings, breeze steering and missing links, 5012 up front with custom towers, toyota mr-2 seats, breeze trac bar, custom rock sliders and still going.

Yup, it's a five link setup with a panhard bar to locate the axle.

Leafs would be much, MUCH simplier, but I find it fun to play with a funky setup.

For all the work would I do it again? Probably not. Would be much better off starting with a sami and swapping in the 1.6L or better engine and some toyota axles.
