i just put in a 3" trailmaster body lift and was wondering if i need to do anything with the steering? everything else look great, all the brake and clutch lines are extended as well as the gas lines. i have read that guys have extended there steering. is it necessary to extendd it?

As long as your lift is 3" or less there will be no worries with steering. A buddy of mine made his own 4" body and didn't think about the steering, he got cut off in traffic and put it on two wheels hard enough for the steering linkage to pop out of the steering box because of the oversize body lift and it rolled several times. You should be okay though.
