One of my friends has a body lift for salefor a TJ, I was thinking about purchasing it. The body lift only comes with 10 spacers. Aside from the bolts, what else is this body lift missing.
Can I make these missing parts, since the kit is incomplete?
I believe there's eleven body mounts on a TJ... I could go check but I'm short on time. How tall is the lift? If it's 2 inches or higher, it may have originally included some equipment to fix shifter problems.
Just shots in the dark, I've got no experience with body lifts.
bolts are cheap....and as far as the shirter problem....i have a 91yj (standard) and there is no problem with my shifters... allthough they are 3inches shorter(which i like..brings the shifters closer to me...
With a 3" lift you should have a bracket that corrects the angle of the steering shaft.
BTW 3" body lifts have been known to cause fatuige cracks in the body tub over time.
There is normally also a bracket to re-position the t-case shifter linkage. Without it you may have a hard time adjusting the shifter if it ever gets out of whack.
You may also find the tranny shifter hits the opening. Some guys bend the shifter, some extend it, some just cut the opening larger.
There should also be some brackets to lower the radiator and shroud back in line with the fan
