I have just purchased a 1984 sj410 suzuki with what I think is a one litre engine. I cannot find a carb kit even from suzuki; only a gasket kit. Any hints if I cannot get the kit for the asian what other make would bolt on.
I had the same thing happen to my sj you do not need a gasket kit all you do is get a couple of cans of carb medic and take it a part be very carfull and you don't have to replace the gasket if you want a break down of the carb I have the suzuki SJ manual.
use Chap stick on the gaskets upon reassembly........ this stuff will make taking the carb apart easier if you ever have to do it again.. as well as helping to seal it better........
I don't think the Pony fits on the 1000cc engine by the way........
