The TH 350 was never offered bolted to the Dana 20 in any factory applications.

In fact Nothing will bolt to the Dana20 without an adapter........it's just that some are factory adapters and some are aftermarket.

The only GM auto that was ever factory adapted to the Dana 20 was the TH400
It was used in early model Jeep Wagoneers (and in some Jeepster Commando's)
This TH400 was however only offered with either an AMC bolt pattern or a Buick pattern.... you would have to swap the Tranny case to a Chev pattern TH400

The only part time transfercase that was ever bolted to a TH350 (with a factory adapter) was the NP205....these were often found in Blazers and Jimmys in the early 70's (or in the 1980 models)...a lot of the mid 70's Chevs were equipped with the fulltime NP203 (too long to fit in a CJ)

Did the th400 that came out in the AMC already have the adapter on it. Is that why it will bolt up to the model 20?And if so can the adapter be removed and put on a th350. Thanks

The factory adapter for the th400 to Dana20 has a new mainshaft for the th400
the mainshafts and bolt patterns of the trannys are nothing alike...the th400 is way bigger (and stronger too)
