Can anyone tell me how 2 read the numbers on a diff tag from an 84 broncoII. The numbers are as follows,
(top row) WGX BG 4E08
(second row) 3 45 A75 S6028B
If you guys can help that would be great. Is 345 the right ratio or is there math involved? THANX!

looks like a 7.5" axle with 3.45:1 gearing ... another way to check is by the axle code on the driverside door sticker.

Heh heh, you win the "booby" prize...3.45:1 open diff 7.5 If it was a L/S it would have an L instead of a space as the second digit of the bottom row. Easiest cure for these gears is to swap the whole axle assemblies. Mine came with 3.73 open, and some of the BIIs came with 4.10 and rear L/S.
