I went up eagle today, did 99% of the mountain in 2 hours on dirtbike. Okay, here's my question. If you go up the hardline, turn right at the top to head to the reflector, there is a branch to the left a little ways up. You go over a ratty little log bridge then the road curves left, starts climbing then gets bad. Does it go anywhere? It looks like someone spent some time clearing out the brush to be able to use it but I didn't feel like taking the bike up it.
Just worndering if anyones been on it.
Thanx JC

I was up there about six weeks ago but I don't know where it may go. Somebody got extremeley stuck at that spot and it appears the only option was to "make" room to retrieve the rig the next day. Could only get about 200 feet past that point because it was getting dark. A bit tricky turning around so do not tackle that trail without a spotter in case you need to u-turn.

Well if it's anything like the rest of the mountain it probably just dead-ends.
Thanx JC

JC, thats where I left my truck over night. Krusty took me and my cousin out. Cory and I had to cut down a few trees to make a clearing to get his truck around mine then tug lots, about 3 hours of hard work. The road is VERY loose and it just dead ends just about a couple hundred yards up a bit. Quite the bridge eh? wouldn't want to get stuck on that one. If anyone wants some BC pinstriping, thats the trail to take.
Did you go up the rest of the trail before you took that last left? Whats up there?

First off we were there a couple of weeks ago, and that road probably goes somewhere but is just entirely too grown over. We went halfway up that hill and turned around. It must be bad cuz none of us care about scratches. Secondly I'm just going to watch this thread now and see what happens now!....IIINNNCCCOOOOOMMMMIIIIIIIINNGGG!!!!!!!!

Ah, thats where you where stuck. I thought you where on the road thats half way up the hard line for some reason. If you went straight you would come to a turn around. Up to your left is the rocks that the big reflector is on, it's a pretty good veiw from there to see Poco, Pitt Meadows etc.

This begs the question: why couldn't you use snatch blocks and winch from behind?

In any case, I'm not going to go into a rant about this because Eagle Ridge is going to be shut down anyway. Too many burnt cars and over-use. Freshly cut trees just add to the problem.

It was either leave my $20,000 investment stuck permanently on the hill or get it out by any means. I tried a post for help with someone with a winch but I got no replies. I did get lots of offers from people with out a winch. If you saw the truck on its side you would undersand what I had to do. I don't recomend this way of retrieving your truck but when there is no option, you have to do what you have to do. I will make sure I don't mention anything like that again.

They're always talkin about closing it, but unless they sneak in a new gate while no-ones looking, it won't happen without a fight.
(not that a 4x4ers opinion has ever counted in such matters)

Hello, a newbie question but how hard is the easy way up eagle? I have a lifted full size with 35s. I don't want to break anything. How long would it take to get up there and can you get to the lake that way? How difficult is the hard way?

From the look of your truck, you would have no problems going the hard rout. It is actually quite an easy trail. Most stock trucks can get up it.
I'm not sure about the lake, but you can spend anywhere from a couple hours to all day up there. There are lots of little side trails that can be explored.
