I've got an '83 s10 Blazer with a spun bearing and i gotta drop a new engine in. Whats the biggest that they can fit without massive alterations?

Slightly newer blazers came stock with 4.3L V6 in them, I am sure you could drop one of them in there. Nice thing with them is they are good strong reliable engines, and they will bolt up to any tranny that a 350 will.

I was just meaning that you will have a wide selection of trannys available to put in with the 4.3L engine. I don't believe that the trahhy for the 2.8 will bolt up to a 4.3L, but if you want a bigger engine, the 4.3 will probably be the easiest swap.
