It will add alot of wind drag to your vehicle, less gas mileage, lower top speed, not enough highway power...etc.

After all this other crap gets bolted/welded/zap strapped onto my truck I'll be bending some tube. Just a few bars here and there. While I don't think it would make or break you on a VI a cop would definetly jump at the chance to pull any truck with an exo over simply for the fact that it screams aftermarket modification.

For a few years in the 1990's Land rover Defender 110 wagons came with an Exo cage from the factory..... I would think that this would set a precedent for any other Exo cages....
As far as welding to the frame...... that is between you and your inspector..
