Who has fixed there frame on a chev, my friend has an 81 with 38's and the frame isn't holdin up so how bigg of bracket did you use and did u bolt it on or weld it to the frame and how thick of metal did u use.

Sold 85 Toyota extra cab 4x4 2" lift 33" BFG M/T with lots of tire rub!
Wanted 84/85 4runner, needed a few more seats less rust, and a beter FRAME.

I wouldn't scab just anything on the frame...this is the stering we're talking about! They have frame repair kits and steering box brace kits available to fix the problem correctly the first time.

if by chance you went thru a dot roadcheck theyd condemn your ride on the spot. this is a very common problem with chev 4xs and everybody knows it. i wouldnt take a chance on scabbin in a piece.id do like tRusty says or take it to a place like north shore off road and imm sure theyd steer you in the rite direction.(no punn intended)
