I am looking to do a chevy steering colomn conversion on my FJ40 can anyone give me any advice on anything that may cause problems?

I guess it depends on whether or not you are going right to the box or stopping at the pillow block.
If I ever did this, I would most likely replace the toyota pillow block with something more sturdy and run the tilt shaft through that.
BTW, now would be a good time to convert to p/s if you haven't already.
