The Harrison West Forest Service Road is closed to all traffic between
56.00 and 69.00 km due to bridge replacement at the following locations:
**** Creek (64.40 km) and Tretheway Creek (66.90 km).
The schedule for replacement of the Tretheway Creek Bridge is between
September 11th and 15th and the **** Creek Bridge between September 16th
and 23rd of this year.

They were supposed to be done by today. But remember, this is the gov't at work.

I was in Pemberton on Labour Day weekend and talked to guys that had driven though then with no problem. I do not think the bridges are gone, just reduced load ratings, thus closed to heavy commercial (ie logging) vehicles.

I whent through there just after they decided to close the road. the bridges are fine. They have a load limit reduced to 3 tonnes. This was in July. Unless they have taken the bridges down, they are still ok. There is only one kind of ify bridge. It looks solid underneith, but some of the surface boards are rotted. it is still easy to cross though.
