when i talk about the choke on my carb, its clear that my truck is carburated. and when i say high revs, no matter what gear i am in, i will ALWAYS hear a loud rev. no my clutch isnt slipping because my foot isnt on the gas, im just wondering how to keep the revs down when im cruising and stuff. so in other words, how do i keep my rpms down if its possible? thats all im wondering. you guys make it sound like im retarded or something
So if your saying it happens when driving normally while cruising then the throttle could be sticking or the cable coud be too..
Have you had a new engine intalled?? i had a friend whos had a new engine put in and the throttle cable was bent and was sticking therfore keeping it reved..
but since yours is carbed check the idle speed and vaccuum lines and operation of the throttle...
DOes it rev high idling too???
misrouted vacuums and a untuned carb will affect the runnning ability forsure.
