Hi there!

Has anyone ever tried out those hyper shackles?

I got Ironman springs in my 75 (middle grade) and 255/85-16. For the most part that´s OK - but you know...sometimes it can´t be wrong just to have a little more...

Do I have to make any changes for the hyper shackles? What about the dampers? I got the serial dampers...think they´re too short!?!

Thanks and regards,
Al (Germany)

I've seen them used on my buddys 78 FJ45.
I know that Ironman springs can be a bit stiff so I would not recommend running them.
With the stiff spring pack you will get a lot of on-road clattering and banging from the shackles, unless you can devise a way to chain them together.
I wasn't really inpressed with the amount of flex they added either. They do allow the axle to droop a bit more, but there is no weight on the tire to provide traction anyway.
But this is just my observation on just one truck.
BTW, he doesn't run them anymore.

Thanks, dp - that´s what I thought.

A bit more "way" for the axle sounds good, but the thing is the weight, that´s right.

Sites like offroad.com praise them, but I´m not sure if they really work.

Well, finally I should think about locking my diff...

Thanks,
Al
