I read an article awhile back about rebuilding idler arms and the part number for the bushing and what not needed was even listed ... anyone now of the part number or the site I'm talking about ....

toy idler arm rebuild for 86-95
bushing #'s 90386-19005 you need 2 you should replace the locking nut as well but don't have that #
make sure the idler shaft is not bent.

How much did you pay at Can. Tire?
I was quoted $160 and change at the local (and only) parts place.For that kinda money I can throw the $4 bushings in for the next 40 years whether it needs it or not..

$160 sounds about what I paid. Atleast it has grease nipples on it. That musta added a whole $2 to the cost . heh,heh.

Stupid things is they don`t ask for the old idler arm back, so all I do is take the ratched one in, get a new one and put it on. Take the one I just took off back and get another. That way I always have a spare.

Or atleast did until my son cleaned out the truck and lost the receipt.
