Kelowna 'wheeling

Hey guys, so lets get set up for friday! What time is the best for everyone to meet? for me i have some appointments that might go to about 1pm. then again if its hard for someone else to make that time, then i can re-arrange some appts. So lets get a time!

-Also i want to do some shopping up there, does anyone shop at Princess auto and if someone does, where the heck can i find it? i know most of the roads, all i need in a general area. are there any other fav offroad shops up there?

Was up Gelardi sunday afternoon. It joins up with the kvr. found a few good side trails to run around on. The KVR to Chute lake resort has been plowed occasionaly so pie and coffee will definetly be available.


The KVR east to the Steel Trestle was slightly more challenging But it got too late to run to far that way.

So friday maybe at Timmies down town just past bridge on the south side of the highway as you come into town.

well, want to set up a time for this place your talking about? how about a meeting place to? if we get a few guys out there with trucks, i wont feel so bad if i have to bow out early as i have to get back to osoyoos that night. let round up some trucks!

Yea we can meet at Timmies per the previous post. timmies=Tim Hortons. say 1pm.
Also form Chute lake resort you can continue on south, Naramata is only 15 or 20 minutes away and apparently the road is plowed the whole way. Met a VW rabbit that came up that way.

You said lets meet at 1 can we meet at 12 and do chute lake and I will take parnelli home with me cuz I'm going back to penticton also. Chuter lake is where we play alot in summer and winter, and the kvr is not to bad for deep snow maybe even the power lines starting in kelowna. Post back.

Bear Creek also could be a place to go lot's of roads plowed high up into the mountains i would mind trying to get up to those towers and princess auto is on countess street i think, it's right by revy.

Yea 12 at Tim Hortons would be fine. The KVR is plowed the all the way through. The Power lines have a Gravel pit on them that blocks it half way up. Was in there last weekend. I did meet a guy in a cheroke that had come up the old chute lake bush road. but he had some kind of 35 inch swampers on. I was on that trail a few summers ago but never in the winter.
At any rate there are lots of side shoots to run off on.

Hey you guys, noon sounds like a good time. however i dont think i can do a day trip, too much crap to do... so if i break off and head back after an hour you guys wont be offended?? lol, anyways sounds good, day and time, we are organised or what??

What do you guys think about doing a night run, not to late but starting around 8 or so for a few hours. I was thinkin' thursday nite? It seems like everyone will be in Kelowna thurs nite so I thought it would be cool to do a nite run. Gimme some feed back.

dang you guys always have the fun when i cant!! haha, sorry, but count me out of the night run, i cant make it to kelowna and back in a night. i still want to meet up for the noon or 1pm run we set up for friday. anyone have anything good to say for shopping at princess auto? hope so...

It sure is snowing hard today if we go up bear should have a good change coming arcoss some logging machines last time a found a skider with the key in it but it won't start probly had a kill switch, but i know you can get really high up in mountains due to the road being slightly plowed.

is there anyone who would be willing to head out later then 1pm with me? if i go at 12 i will have to head back to kelowna in an hour. but if i can wrangle someone to go later like 5 or something and they could show me the back road to naramata i would be much obliged. if no one will can you at least tell me how to get on the backroad and how long the trip usually is? or maybe draw a map for when we meet at noon friday?

Twigman are you still in tonite? Check your e-mail. Parnelli if you go up the garrnet vally fsr you will come up 2 the kvr turn left and it will take you to chute lake from there the road will wind down the hill untill you come to the pavment turn left and follow it to penticton, it aint hard. Watch some of those corners.

ok, i'll be sure to do that coming home. is there only 1 timmies to meet at in kelowna? where in the general vicinity is it? Thanx anger ranger for the directions, how long is it gonna be to take that back road home?
