Does any one know how much a limited slip differential cost for an 81 toyota? and if you can ever find them used?
Thanks Greg!

Toyota made a stock limited slip but I don't know what years/vehicles they went into. Your choice of aftermarket limited slips is very good, but most people around here will tell you to get a locker instead
If you have your heart set on a l/s and don't want to buy new, try calling around and seeing if any of the shops have some used ones.

WHY DON'T YOU JUST WELD YOUR FROUNT AND REAR END, ITS CHEEP AND WORKS (I PAID $30.00 FOR BOTH FRONT AND REAR)THEN IF YOU LIKE IT LATER. DECIDE ON A LOCKER ,STARTING PRICE ARROUND $ 600.00 NEW, FOR BOTTOM OF THE LINE MODEL.

Actually you can get a Lock-right for around $400
Plus it won't wear your tires out but hey, to each his own.

North Shore Off Road quoted me $450, I'm sure you can get it from one of the local shops for 50 bones less if not more.

Put the limited slip up front, buy a locker for the back.
But don't weld the front, unless you like not being able to turn without climbing out and unlocking hubs.
