What is the maximum sized tire you can fit on a stock 88 toy without rubbing?

Modifications? Lets see...... rear end drag from moose hunting, custom built canopy door, Pioneer deck with two, thats right two 6X9s, and bent bumper cowling from stupid wheeling move :) :)

probably 31X10.5

Sold 85 Toyota extra cab 4x4 2" lift 33" BFG M/T with lots of tire rub!
Wanted 84/85 4runner, needed a few more seats less rust, and a beter FRAME.

I've talked to people running 32" tires...just bash the fenders.

you may be able to fit 32/10.5 with out
rubbing just hammer the fenderseam a bunch

ive seen some 36 one a stocker (VERY liberal applications of sawzall) he he he

I've got 31x10.5 on my stock 88 toy (15x7 rims steel rims) and there's no rubbing on or off-road. Maybe that's cause of the huge articulation I get with IFS though

I had 15x8's when I ran 31x10.5's so that might have something to do w/ it.
