whats a cheap easy way to get a little bit more power out of my 2.9L ranger(i want to be able to hold 4th going up mt.seymour). ive already put k&n in.
There is no cheap way to make that little engine more powerful. Gears and/or an engine swap would be a start. If you dont have the bucks too do it then you be stuck with what you got.
put an early 2.9 throttle body on ,it's noticeably larger and is a very easy swap or a 4.0 throttle body with some minor mods to your throttle cable
i went with the 4.0 and noticed a difference at
wot you could also try a performance chip .i have not tried one but i have heard the smaller the engine the better the chips work thats just a rumour though
I dont know if this is too much money but this is what I found. I guess I spoke too soon about being stuck with what you got, this stuff is not that badly priced. http://www.jamesduff.com/broncoII/engine.html
