i have a 1972 ford F-250 ranger XLT 4X4,i'd like to know where i can get information on the driveline,it has a 302(not the original motor,it used to be a 360 2BBL)with a 4spd,and a divorced Dana transfer case, the rear axle is unkowned? because it does'nt have any ID tag or numbers on it,(the hubs are full floaters) the front axle kinda looks like a bigger version of a toyota axle, instead of a knuckle it has this huge ball at each ends its got no ID tag or visible numbers on it? anyone have a clue what it is?

The huge balls you are reffering to are closed knucles. I think it might be a 3/4ton dana 44. or is there such thing as a 3/4 ton d60??

sounds like you have the normal everyday dana 60 fullfloater rear with a closed knuckle dana 44 front....never heard of a closed knuckle dana 60 especially in a 3/4 ton, but i have been known to be wrong before

the tranny will be a np435 with a np203 divorced transfercase, i used to own a 72 3/4 ton ford 4x4...awesome trucks!

The closed-knuckle D60 front does exist. 73-75 F250 crewcab.
