I want to have a buddy build a dif guard for my TJ, and it will be a lot easier if I find a spare dif cover for him to use as a template rather than to try to take measurements off mine.
Anybody got a spare cover kicking around? even a damaged one is OK.

The Jeep front diff covers have been the same on all jeeps since 1941
I was installing a lockright in the front of my freinds XJ a couple of years ago and just for kicks I tried the front cover off of my original dana25 front axle from my Willys.......perfect fit
Just goes to show that some things have not changed in the Jeep world...........

Interesting. Any years that were stronger than the piece of tin used on the TJ?

You think the TJ D30 cover is thin, you should see the stock D44 cover.

Find yourself a D44 cover from a full-size. Some of them are very thick and even come with high fill holes (came off a high pinion Ford D44).

True, but after adjusting the pinion angle to accomodate a 4" lift and Belly-up, you basically volunteered your rear diff cover as diff glider.

Thanks Lars, gotta get me one of those.
