I've got an '88 Blazer with a TBI 350. The bushings on the shaft in the throttle body have started sticking. That means anytime I use more than 1/3 of the gas pedal it sticks and the motor revs until I hook the pedal with my foot and unstick it

Does anyone know of a good shop that rebuilds these things? I've heard Thiessen Performance does. Anyone else?

Jon

Hey Jon, I have heard that Kerrisdale Speed in Surrey can rebush carbs and such, I would also want to check the cable and the cheeze-o gas pedal pivot block as possible sources of sticking. Also if the bushings are really that bad do you have idle problems due to air leakage around the throttle plate?

It doesn't seem to stick when it's turned off so I eliminated the cable and pivot block. The idle is OK (them things don't idle smooth at the best of times)

I'll check Kerrisdale out. Thanks Chris!
