I have a 95 jeep cherokee 4.0 automatic 4x4 and I need to replace the cat and muffler. I was thinking of just hollowing out the cat and going with a dynomax cat back system wondering if anyone has used the dynomax cat back system??

how is the sound with a cat hollowed out?

can anyone suggest make a better suggestion for what I should go with or do

thanks

I had a Flowmaster on my last 96 XJ also. Took out the cat and the muffler, hooked up the flowmaster, sounded great for me and when air care came up I took it out and put the old system back in and swapped it back again when I passed, quick and easy. but as a DD for my family they complained about the sound since it's right under the cab and the drone was too much for long drives.

DYNOMAX MAKES A THRUSH "WELDPRO" MUFFLER THAT IS THE SAME CONSTRUCTION AS 40 SERIES FLOWMASTER. I PUT ONE ON MY WIFES 95 CHEROKEE 2 1/2" MUFFLER AND TAILPIPE AND IT SOUNDS GREAT AT ABOUT HALF THE PRICE OF A FLOWMASTER.BOUGHT IT FROM LORDCO
