Hey I've been up to stave and gone up the forest service road on the west side of the lake, and couldn't find any interesting trails. Most of the side roads where 2wd stuff if you drove them right.

Is there trails on the other side??? if so how do I get to them, and how do I get to9 the stave mud flats???

Thanks.

I copied this from another post.

You take Lougheed Hwy into Maple Ridge. Turn left onto Dewdney Trunk Rd.(thats at the Staples store). Follow it for about 20-30mins until yer in the boonies. After you feel like you've been driving forever you'll come up to a dam, Do not cross it. Take a left onto the dirt. You should see a guy in a shack that takes your licence plate number, then you're on the right road. Follow the main road until you can see the mud flats to your right (quite a ways). The road will branch up to the left(this takes you to a cool view of Stave and Alouette lakes) or to the right which takes you to the mud flats.

The turn off to Sunrise Lake is located just after the 25KM marker. The turn off is on the left side, just after you cross a small bridge.

There is a 4WDABC clean up run to Sunrise this coming Sunday. Meeting at the Sasquatch Inn at 9AM.

Anyone interested in joining??

Thanks.

I don't know. I guess on a scale of 1-4 it would be a 2. It's not a scenic logging road but a really well built truck might get board.

Hey Chris, I am interested in directions to the trail. I believe Tamihi is just passed the bridge on the Vedder with the kayak course right under it, right? Would a stock Toyota 4X4 be able to conquer it? My email is [email protected]
Thanks

Most stock 4x4's should have fun on this trail. There are some nify hills about 5 min. into it that are fun to play on.
