WOOHOOOO!!! I just got a new truck! It's a 98 Dakota Sport, 5.2L, 5spd, 60,000kms. Metallic green, grey interior. I am super stoked. I don't have any immediate plans to do anything significant to it, because it kind of tapped me out financially. But, I would like to do a lift on it in the future. Anybody know whats available for this truck?

Lots of fun!

Congrats on the truck! I don't know what is available for the Dakota, but there is stuff out there for it. Just go check out the manufacturers web sites. Procomp, Rancho, Rough Country, Superlift, Sky Jacker. Those are just a few brands to check out. I don't know what sort of quality each one is. I just flipped through my 4 Wheel mag and coppied down some brands.

Try this site for info on dakotas. Looks like most guys do a 3" body lift for starters. Lifts are very expensive for these trucks.

I have a buddy with 32" X 11.5" on his 2001 and there is no tire rub. He has no lift at all.

Thanks, thats a really good site! Lifts are d$mn expensive! I think I'll leave that alone, and possibly just get some bigger tires unless I win a fortune. Thanks for the help!

Congrats on the new truck. I just bought mine last spring, and I love it. Lifts are damn expensive, I'm waiting to pay mine off and maybe the manufacturers will lower their prices by then.
