my oil pressure guage in my 4.0L cherokee
is stock.it ranges from 0-5.4
normal driving it reads 3,when stopped
at a light it will drop below 2
should it fluctuate that much?
the reason i'm questioning this is i
just got the engine replaced and i
guess i'm a little nervous

Yeah, I'm a little new at the XJ thing, but mine does that too! I wouldn't worry about it too much, many vehicle's oil pressure drop considerably while at idle. Both my rigs do!

Mine doesn't go down quite that much. It sits a little above 3 while driving and comes down to about 3 even when at idle.

Naw that's about normal actually. the manuals (factory) say between 3 and 6 while cruising and as low as 1-1.5 (and some engines may go as low as .5 while idling) .. gotta love that definite info you get from chrysler.
