With the new pollution checks working it's way east in ontario, I'm thinking of
doing a swap in my 86 comanche standard. Something that don't have pollution gizmos like the famous Chev 283, or the big bore full torque low rev International 4 cylinders.
Either that or I'm giving a quebec
address of residence. I'd rather pay a safety check than end up like that lady that forked over 5000$ for a polution rehaul. What a rip off.
Anyone know the best and simplest drop in of these older plants? What about spline and bell housing adapters? Straight six like the Blue Flame 135 of 56-57 would be neat too. I have an V6,AX5(new) and NP207.

Thanks Andy.

I would think the easiest swap for a Chev 2.8 would be to go with a 3.4 litre buick grand national V6
I think the bellhousings are the same........
