I was wondering it there are any transfer cases other than the sammy case that offers a high range reduction with a passenger side output that could be adapted to a toy 4cyl case (by you guys). I would be nice to get a double case and not have to buy 5.29s. Seems guys buy one or the other, would be nice to get the benefits of both for the price of one. 4.10's turning 35's....

Land rover lt-130
1.2 high range
3.15 low
both offset to passenger side
already has rear driveline (parking) brake
Gears are very near to d-300/Atlas size

Can it be adapted to a Toy......... anything is possible. It's only Metal....

Too bad its landrover, are they at all easy to find? I suppose not common enough (cheap) to warrant making adapters for sale.
Well it was a nice dream anyhow.

Are these availible in most of the 'rovers, or just specific ones? Also do yuo know how far offset the rear output is? (guessing the same and the front?)
Well after crunching a few numbers, if you coupled this to your stock transfer case with 4.10 gears it would give you an equivilant of 4.92 diff gears. Using a fifth gear ratio .85 x 1.2 x 4.10 = 4.182 compared to stock with 5.29's: .85 x 5.29 = 4.496 or with 4.88's: .85 x 4.88 = 4.148. No to mention a slightly improved crawl ratio. Stock with 5.29's: 3.95x2.28x2.28x5.29= 108.62 Or with this Case and 4.10's: 3.95x2.28x3.15x4.10= 116.31
If OTT built this and dug up a few transfer case cores you guys would corner the market. If you put a 4.7 kit in the first case you would get 239.76 to 1, silly low.

Mike.

But since I'm laid off again I'd need a discount for punching these numbers
