:confused: I AM ABOUT TO REPLACE THE REAR QUATER PANELS ON MY 79 FS BRONCO. HAS ANYBODY EVER DONE IT? IF SO COULD YOU GIVE ME A FEW POINTERS ON HOW TO GO ABOUT REPLACING THEM?:confused:

Yep, done a few. take the top off & then go around the whole quater & drill out each little dimple (spot welds) that you see. Inside the door jams, inside box, inside tail lights ect. For the wheel wells, I just cut the inner fender at the quarter, & when you put on the new quarter, weld 1" flat bar to conect the inner with the quarter. This way you can wash the mud & salt out of the body. I also cut a hole on the inside (pointing to frame) of the door jam at the bottom for a drain. To put new quarters on, drill a bunch of holes around the edges to spot weld them back on. Takes about 8 hrs to do both sides. Be sure to grind off paint where ever you are going to weld & DON"T undercoat them before installing!!
