anyone know if there is much difference between widths on a E350 rear and a 80 - 86 FS Bronco rear axle? will a 15" rim wrap around the 1 ton drums?

15" rims will not stuff over the drums on a F350 (Dana60) Rear axle. Upgrade to 16" wheels and tires and the do an eight lug conversion on the front with chevy D44 components!

that's OK .. I yikked with the Tire guy and I'm going with 16" rims (apparently the tire makers have really started jumping on the 16" tire wagon) 315/85r16's here I come! what do you need to upgrade a 5 lug ford to an eight bolt chevy? I would really like to keep the front calipers from the van (E350 - dual pistons) tho. the front axle is a 78 f150 Dana44.

Wonder how much of that would retrofit to the 1/2 ton axle?

everything, spindles, rotors, calipers & holders. You can use your old hubs but basically everything that bolts to the knuckle.
