I was wondering what drive shaft will fit to the YJ RE 1801 sye eliminator kit. So I don't have to spend all that US $ to buy one from them.

I've think that it is from a 70's car or truck. I can get it shortened, so not worried about that.

Just trying to cut some cost.

any help is greatly appreciated

Thanks

If the RE 1801 is the hack and tap type then a 93 Explorer front shaft will work, that's what I'm using. Make sure you get one with a flange to fit on to the SYE.

I'm looking at the cut and tap style. I can have the shaft out so that a machine shop can cut it off straight and drill/tap the hole perfect, cause i have hear of ones breaking apart because the hole was cut and tapped crocked. The explorer front shaft is a cv style. is it like jeeps, small dia for the front? or is it tubing like the back. I'm trying not to have to look too long.

Thanks for the help

There are other Ford applications that use that flat CV flange as well. I found one off a Monte Carlo that worked for me.

Of course a little shortening was required ;)
