I'll be replacing my shackles next week with boomerang units. Does anyone know a better way to remove the shackle bolts on the rear?
I mean the ones that are on the frame side not the ones on the spring eye. These bolts are put in from the inside and when backed out , the tank is in the way. should I just cut them off? Would that be the easiest way?

cutting would be easiest if you have new bolts.
we got mine out with some strategic jacking...one under the perch and one between the axle and frame.
able to swing the shackle far enough out so we could pop out the bushing and that gave us enough play to slide the bolt out

The bushings are in 2 pieces and you can slip one side off (outside), which gives you the room to weasel the bolt out on an angle. Discovered this only after I had chopped one bolt off, so maybe you can save yourself the aggravation of trying to cut next to the tank... HTH
