It looks like my Transfer Case is shot, and I have a bunch of questions I’m hoping someone can clear up for me.
First off, it’s a PetroWorks 4.89 case and I’m assuming that the bearings are shot. The truck makes a horrible grinding noise when it’s moving and the drive line is not under load (i.e. it’s the worst when I match the accelerator to the speed of the truck, but it’s also bad when I shift it into neutral and coast). I’ve never noticed it in 4Low.
I’m thinking of ordering a rebuild kit from either Trail Tough or PetroWorks. Does anyone know if the Trail Tough kit will work with the PetroWorks gears? And, the PetroWorks kit looks like it comes with a lot more. How much of this is necessary?

Has anyone ordered from either of these companies before? Is it a better option to get it shipped to a place like Ship Happens and go to pick it up, or is that an unnecessary hassle?
Thanks a lot :beer
*Edit* Just noticed that Calmini makes a kit too. http://www.puresuzuki.com/t-case_bearings.htm
