So I was digging around out in the parts pile at the shop today and what I think to be 2 SM465 trannies. One says 465 4.52 (the last number might be a bit off) and the other says 65 4.52 (the same thing but without the 4). Is there a difference? They also both have 208 t-cases on them (I'm pretty sure they're 208s).

So what I'm wondering is a) what are these worth?, b) will a 465 bolt up to a Chev 4.3?, and c) is there an SM465 -> Toy t-case adapter out there somewhere?

Maybe I shouldn't have gone poking around in there now I'm getting all sorts of ideas in my head... must.. finish.. SAS.. first..

I am pretty conifdent that the 4.3L has the same bell housing as the 350 so the tranny should bolt up with the small block bell housing, I believe it uses an 11 spline output shaft.

Yep, it'll bolt-up. It's what I've got in my toy. The 4.3s the same as a 350 minus 2 cylinders.

Just because the next guy has frosted tips, an earing, and a jeep doesn't mean you have to!

They're both fine. The parts pile is not a junk pile.
One of the 208s needs a shifter but I think they're both good too. How much will you give me for one?
