I agree a propane powered 350 is a cool thing to do....no worries about hooking up fuel injection, simple system...as far as building it up though Michael, Beer has a Toyota so just putting a stock Chev in his truck is going to be sweet without having to do anything, although if he wants to do it more power to him

is there very much difference in external dimensions between the small block chev engines?

Yeah, I'm thinkin propane for sure, If the 267 is a lemon i'll just go with the 305, it shouldnt have too much problem makin a 3000lb truck scoot

There is almost no external difference between the small blocks. None that would make a difference for swapping. They are hard to tell apart unless they are apart.

This is because manly men like to replace their head gaskets on their 400 engines often???-- go tree fitty, tree fitty, tree fitty... as for the smallest V8 I think the 3.5 litre aluminum block Buick (rover) is the smallest (and lightest) But sadly also the rarest and possibly crappiest V8 going....

All I can say is USE MUFFLER TAPE FOR THE CYLINDERS, I don't even want to think about a repeat of the 'scotch tape incident'
