Contrary to what my sig says i do not have a 60 in the rear i have a 10.25" I need to replace the pinion berring and was curious as to whether i should just replace the entire carrier with a limited slip as whell as the berring. Or would it be easier to just undo the brake lines and drive shaft and replace it with a d60?? And does any one have a D60 or a 10.25" with 4.10 gearing for sale. I can get the carrier with a limited slip for $300. And how hard would it be to replace the berring my self?

I'd hold on to your 10.25". I've heard that it is comperable to a Dana 70 in strength. Parts are a little more costly though. I swapped out my crappy trash-lok and put in a Detroit locker - boy what a differance. You shouldn't have too much trouble changing the bearing, if you want you could pull the pinion and bring it to a shop and have them swap the bearing and then install the pinion again.
