I have a 95 YJ with a stock suspension. Over the last few months it has developed a leak at the transfer case output seal. The leak fairly minor and does not seem to be
getting worse.

How much leaking, if any, is acceptable?
Is there anything I can do to keep it from getting worse?

Thanks

The design of the seal is that it must "leak" to work. They all wear a little bit after a while and leak a little more, but it is generally very slow.

Fix it by repacing the seal.

New seals are typically under $10. If you're careful you could probably replace it in about 15-20 min.

Of course you could mangle the seal if you don't put it in straight. A block of wood and some careful hammer work will do the trick.
