I just put a 94 D35 in my 88 YJ and need to find a U-Joint that will fit. the drive shaft takes a standard 1310, but the rear yolk (D35)is larger than a 1310. Anyone know where to get these type of U-Joints from...I had an old one from a driveshaft I picked up at Gary's but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Tried Canadian Tire and they dont carry anything.

there is twom sizes of u joints
a smaller one and a larger one, go to a auto parts store like lordco or west can or napa , and get them to look for it or just buy the larger one.
i just did my axle u joint in my 94' yj , yes i did go with the larger one , i would advise to get a greasable u joint also.

I think the later-model YJs went to a 1330 joint in the rear shaft (?)
If so, you can buy a 1310/1330 conversion joint that will go between your shaft and yoke. Any competent driveline shop can help with that... I prefer Driveline Services in Surrey, FWIW.

From '87 to '93, the rear diff yoke was a Spicer #2-4-6901-1x and used a 1310 u-joint, 3 7/32" cap-to-cap.
After that they switched to a Spicer #2-4-7631-1 yoke which used a 1330 u-joint, 3 5/8" cap-to-cap.
If you want to adapt an early driveshaft to a newer ('94+) diff, I think you can use a Spicer 5-134x combination u-joint which mates a 1310 yoke to a 1330 yoke. Supposedly this is a late '70's Ford F250 u-joint. You could always order one in from Lordco or wherever and compare it to some 1310 and 1330 u-joints in the store.

i used rockford 1310/1330 joints in my rear cv case. i used a 1310 cv shaft with a 1330 case. i got the joints from canadian tire for 25 a piece. they are greasable too.

Get a Ford type 1204 u-joint it is a 1310/1330 crossover joint but uses the larger 1330 body ... common to Ford Bronco's 79 up and Ford 3/4T trucks. Any driveline shop should be able to supply this.
